How to Keep Student Learning in Holiday

The holiday season is on the way back here and you know what that means, the teacher will strive to bring their students to focus on their work instead of a dynamic Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is when the teacher must be creative and have a fun activity to keep students entertained, but to learn. There are many resources to help educators find curricula for education during the holiday season, but the kids have fun and not get overwhelmed by learning new material. There has been much controversy over whether schools should be allowed to celebrate holidays, for various reasons, such as some of the children celebrate different holidays or religious differences, however, the school has done a good job of letting students still havethe fun and celebrate through the “fall” or the activities of “winter”. A good thing to take a break from the typical materials that students can concentrate on a variety of art, whether creating music, crafts or watch educational videos.

For Halloween, many schools host a costume parade in which all students take a walk down the aisle showing off their costumes for the whole school. Another reality allows students to dress up and go trick or treating from class to class. Ask students to bring a bag of candy for his class on the march around the school, teachers remain in their classrooms collapsed bubble. Other schools have fallen into the festival of Halloween night with rides, games such as pumping of apples, face painting, contests, pumpkins and more.

If the school does not want the children to wear traditional costumes, wearing his favorite book character with a brief presentation about the book and why they decided to disguise this character. You can also do a history lesson about how Halloween is going, or why children start on Halloween. Another fun activity is to teach students about different textures. There were six or seven different materials that each student received. Each student wrote their suggestions on a piece of paper, like the human brain (a noodle dish) or the werewolf fur (hairy piece of cloth).

During the time of thanksgiving, teachers can make a series of educational activities for students, besides the traditional turkey or a pilgrim hat. This festival provides a perfect opportunity for educators to focus students on their writing skills. Ask them to write letters to their parents or relatives about what they like, or write a story about what they think would be a pilgrim on the Mayflower. The subject should always be Thanksgiving.Teachers have students act different events that happened during the first Thanksgiving.

Older students can have fun celebrating the festival with a game of survival in the classroom. The teachers divide their classes into groups of four or five and chose a number of elements to survive in the list, then draw cards that give them a variety of situations. The most successful group at the end of the game wins. In this lesson students over how difficult it is for the pilgrims to survive during this period.

Another good idea is to join other classes around the school and began collecting canned goods. Teach students that there are families who do not receive a Thanksgiving dinner and the normal is our duty to help. Ask students to carry home cans and end of training students for the calculation of the box and buy separate food groups. This will give students work on math and health, and help the community.

Now Christmas time is near, and almost all students were checked for the winter holidays, but you still have another year of school. Many schools do not celebrate Christmas as a holiday, but “winter break”. There are many ideas that teachers can use in their classes and many of them can be very informative.

One of my favorite things Christmas, as young people make crafts for Christmas from my parents. Students make a snowman, pictures of stained glass windows, gingerbread men, photo frames and more. This is a great way for students to enter a little creativity and bring Christmas gifts for their parents. Sometimes, the school sets for students to go buy gifts for their families. I bought a grandmother handle a year in my class to save Christmas and still uses today.

Some teachers have students take the traditional carols and have changed the world of the song. For example, a class of Florida changed the song “Twelve Days of Christmas” and change it to “Twelve Days of Florida.” Reading books is also a favorite for many students. Stories like The Polar Express is still popular for young children. After reading the books of the teacher, students are watching movies and then have them make a comparison between the two.
